Flowrox Plasma Oxidizer™ aims to destroy 90-99 % pharmaceutical residues from the hospital wastewaters. With this installation, Flowrox is the trailblazer on a global scale as this will be the first-of-a-kind on the planet!
The traditional actuator’s tower design usually works well with slurry knife gate valves. But only as long as the valve is small enough. The bigger the DN, the higher will be the valve. Let us say we need a valve DN 1200. Using the tower design, it means the valve would be extremely high in open position: 5,60 meters! Extreme heights also mean a higher centre of gravity. This makes the knife gate valve more difficult to handle, less stable during assembly and harder to access for maintenance. In other words, less safe.
Flowrox Plasma OxidizerTM is launched – the first and unique industrial water treatment technology in the world that utilizes non-thermal plasma. Plasma generated oxidants effectively remove colour, odour and organic residues while disinfecting the water. Ground-breaking innovation Flowrox Plasma Oxidizer was also one of the finalists for the Aquatech Innovation Award 2019, so-called “Oscars of the Water Technology Industry”.
Polar-Automaatio’s parent company Flowrox successfully completed the sale of its valve- and pump businesses to Neles. Flowrox company rebranded to Roxia. At the same time also Polar-Automaatio’s name changed to Roxia Automation Oy.
Soon-to-be-launched Flowrox Plasma OxidizerTM is nominated for the Aquatech Innovation Award 2019, in the Waste Water Treatment category. The event is also called “the Oscars of the Water Technology Industry”. The winner of the Innovation Award is announced on 4th of November during Aquatech Amsterdam 2019 opening ceremony.
We are happy to inform that Finland-based Flowrox has officially opened its ninth subsidiary, Flowrox SAC in Lima, Peru. The opening ceremony was held on 24 September 2019 in Lima.
